ChainCatcher message, MakerDAO issued a statement regarding the event of "Jump Crypto and Oasis collaborating to utilize the upgradable Oasis contract to successfully retrieve stolen funds from the original Wormhole Exploiter's vault." In light of recent transactions involving Maker Vault 30100 and the Oasis frontend, it is necessary to clarify the distinction between MakerDAO, the Maker protocol, and third-party frontend providers.

MakerDAO cannot control any frontend providers or products that enable end users to access Maker Vaults. Furthermore, the available frontends connected to the Maker protocol are not developed or maintained by MakerDAO. The Maker protocol is a decentralized smart contract system, publicly deployed on Ethereum, allowing any vendor to connect their user interface solutions in a permissionless and decentralized manner. These user interface providers can control the smart contracts they deploy, enabling end users to interact with the Maker protocol.

Recent transactions changing the ownership of Maker Vault 30100 did not involve any official MakerDAO smart contracts or MakerDAO directives. It reiterates that MakerDAO's smart contracts are not controlled or governed by the Oasis frontend smart contracts. (source link)
