ChainCatcher news, Axie Infinity plans to adopt a "more aggressive" strategy regarding the crypto tokens earned by players in 2023, indicating that the P2E model will continue to exist after a challenging year.

Aleksander Leonard Larsen, co-founder of Axie Infinity's Vietnamese developer Sky Mavis Inc., said at a panel in Paris on Friday, "We need more tokens, we need more crazy things to experiment with." Nevertheless, according to Larsen, Apple's restrictions on NFTs in video games have made it harder for crypto developers to compete with traditional studios.

It is reported that Sky Mavis launched a new version of Axie Infinity last April and stated that it would shift to "play-and-earn" instead of "play-to-earn," as there are concerns that the game's economic principles are exploitative. (source link)
