Solana has released a plan for an improved network upgrade, focusing on enhancing the restart process for stability
ChainCatcher news, Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko has released a plan to improve network upgrades, which will enhance the Solana upgrade process, form a response team, improve the restart process, and focus on stability.
It is reported that the improvement upgrade schedule is as follows:
- Downgrade the testnet to the current mainnet test version and feature set before upgrading the mainnet test version;
- Upgrade the testnet to the new version release candidate;
- Observe how the testnet migration is conducted in real-time;
- Downgrade the testnet back to the current mainnet test version;
- Repeat this process while stress testing the testnet;
- Release the new version to mainnet-beta validators for upgrade. (source link)
