The developers of the counterfeit MAYC NFT have pleaded guilty
ChainCatcher news, Aurelien Michel, the developer of the counterfeit MAYC's Mutant Ape Planet series NFT, who was arrested and charged with fraud for allegedly scamming $2.9 million, has pleaded guilty. Prosecutor Dylan Stern and Michel's lawyer Adam Brody requested the court to postpone the case until April 5, as they are engaged in plea negotiations and believe this is likely to lead to a resolution of the case without a trial.
Previously, on January 6, 2023, Aurelien Michel, the developer of the Mutant Ape Planet series NFT, a copy of the Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), was arrested and charged with fraud for allegedly scamming $2.9 million. (source link)
