Filecoin Virtual Machine (FVM) has been successfully launched and now supports smart contracts
ChainCatcher news, the Filecoin Virtual Machine (FVM) was successfully launched at 11:14 PM Beijing time on March 14. The Filecoin blockchain is now capable of supporting smart contracts and user programmability through FVM. With FVM, developers can deploy smart contracts and plan data storage, governance, and monetization in the public market.
The release of FVM is the final piece of Filecoin's major plan. Protocol Labs founder Juan Benet stated, "FVM is a major step forward for blockchain and Web3, enabling developers to create new types of applications and empowering the immense potential of smart contracts for large-scale data."
