Polygon has spun off its modular blockchain project Avail into an independent entity, which has been acquired by its co-founder
ChainCatcher news, Polygon has spun off its modular blockchain project Avail into an independent entity. Avail co-founder Anurag Arjun has left and acquired Avail, and the Avail team will migrate to the new entity. Avail is currently running on a testnet, with the mainnet set to launch soon. As part of the spin-off, Avail will create a new nonprofit foundation, Avail Foundation, and will eventually transfer governance to the community.
It is reported that Polygon launched the Avail project at the end of 2020 and publicly introduced it in mid-2021. Avail is a modular blockchain that allows developers to build customizable and scalable applications. Unlike monolithic blockchains, modular blockchains decompose core functions such as consensus, security, data availability, and execution, handling them separately. (Source link)
