According to ChainCatcher news, as reported by Cointelegraph citing software engineer Albacore, Microsoft is testing a built-in cryptocurrency wallet for its Edge browser. Currently, Microsoft has not officially announced the wallet project, and the introduction page of the wallet does not specify which cryptocurrencies are supported. However, the project mentions involvement in cryptocurrencies and NFTs, and leaked screenshots indicate support for at least Ethereum, DAI, USDC, and USDT. Some of these tokens appear to have been added by users through a custom token option.

Other screenshots suggest that the wallet may integrate with Coinbase and Moonpay transactions, and it could also support other extension wallets through its settings panel, along with an "Explore" tab. It is reported that the built-in wallet in Microsoft Edge is non-custodial, meaning users have complete control over their funds, but Microsoft cannot assist users in recovering their wallets.
