ChainCatcher message, zkSync announced an important update to its security mechanism, namely the introduction of "execution delay".

"Execution delay" refers to a time lock that each L2 block submitted to L1 will have before execution and finalization. The initial delay is set to 24 hours, and it will gradually decrease as the system matures, until the Alpha label is removed and the delay is completely eliminated. The zkSync team will monitor each block and will be able to investigate any anomalies and danger signals, such as rapid outflows or unusually large withdrawals. (source link)
