ETHGlobal hackathon shortlisted project Opclave supports initiating transactions using Apple Face ID and Touch ID
ChainCatcher news, the Opclave developed by the Istanbul Technical University ITU Blockchain Club team has been shortlisted for the ETHGlobal Scaling 2023 hackathon. Opclave improves the ERC-4337 compatible smart contract account OP Stack, which uses signatures abstracted by Apple Enclave, allowing users to create and use non-custodial wallets with Apple Face-ID and Touch-ID without the need for a mnemonic. Its core idea is to turn Apple devices, such as iPhone and Macbook, into hardware wallets, initiating transactions from the trusted execution environment of Apple Secure Enclave to ensure security.
At the same time, Opclave also features social recovery, batch processing, support for ERC20 Token payments, daily spending limits, and more. The team will also develop additional account abstraction features such as 2FA and email login, and support other chains like Starknet, zkSync, and Fuel. (source link)
