ChainCatcher message, the MakerDAO community has initiated a proposal for the transition of the Protocol Engineering Core Unit. The main content is that, with the successful passing of the Endgame and Constitution MIP, the original work management framework is changing the way contributors request work. The Protocol Engineering Core Team (PECU) will cease operations at the end of April 2023, and smaller independent teams will execute the scope framework. PECU will collaborate with community members to ensure a successful transition to the new project-based funding framework.

Under this proposal, five core contributors of MakerDAO have indicated that they will stop contributing to MakerDAO on April 30. (source link)
