ChainCatcher news, the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, based in the United States, revealed on Friday that it plans to open a derivatives platform overseas.

The company stated that the new division is called Gemini Foundation, and its first product will be Bitcoin perpetual contracts priced in GUSD. Following that, Ethereum perpetual contracts priced in GUSD will also be launched.

Meanwhile, U.S. regulators are intensifying scrutiny of cryptocurrencies, and Gemini is also affected. In January of this year, Gemini was accused by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of selling unregistered securities. It is worth mentioning that opening a company outside the United States does not mean that Gemini will be free from the oversight of U.S. regulators. (source link)
