Coinbase sues the SEC, demanding a response on specific rules for digital assets

ChainCatcher news, Coinbase is suing the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to compel the SEC to respond to its petition aimed at establishing specific rules for digital assets. "Based on the SEC's public statements and enforcement actions in the crypto industry, it seems the SEC has made up its mind to reject our petition. But they haven't informed the public, so the lawsuit Coinbase filed today simply asks the court to require the SEC to share its decision."

Previously reported, Coinbase's CEO stated that they are prepared for a years-long court battle with the SEC. (source link)
