ChainCatcher news, according to Circle's official blog, its USDC Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) has officially launched on the Ethereum and Avalanche mainnets. Applications using CCTP will allow users to "burn and mint" or "transfer" USDC between blockchains. Reportedly, more than ten applications have adopted CCTP so far, including Metamask and the Solana bridge Wormhole.
Previous news, Circle announced earlier this year that CCTP would launch on the Ethereum and Avalanche mainnets in the first quarter of 2023, and it is now available on the Goerli testnet of Ethereum and the Fuji testnet of Avalanche.
