Ledger: The release of the Ledger Recover feature will be postponed, and this feature will not be introduced before the code is open-sourced
ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, Ledger will postpone the release of the key recovery (Ledger Recover) feature and will not introduce this new feature before releasing the code.
Last week, Ledger disclosed the Ledger Recover feature, which splits the private key recovery phrase into three encrypted shards and distributes them to three custodians: Ledger, the crypto custody company Coincover, and the code custody company EscrowTech. If someone loses their recovery phrase, they can merge two of the three shards (pending ID verification) to regain access to their locked funds. This feature has raised privacy and security concerns among some users. (Source link)
