Beijing released the "Internet 3.0 Innovation Development White Paper"

The white paper believes that Beijing is in a leading position nationwide in terms of policies and measures for the development of the Internet 3.0 industry, innovative enterprises, and research foundations. Currently, Beijing is planning a series of work initiatives around key technologies, common technology platforms, application scenarios, innovation ecology, and regulation, accelerating the construction of an internationally influential Internet 3.0 innovation highland.

At the same time, Beijing continuously strengthens city-district collaboration and promotes regional characteristic development. Currently, Haidian District is focused on creating a highland for original technology innovation, Chaoyang District is concentrating on cultivating innovative enterprises and developing enterprise clusters, Shijingshan District is fully committed to creating benchmark scenarios in science fiction and sports, and Tongzhou District is accelerating the promotion of cultural tourism, smart city scenario applications, and the construction of a metaverse innovation center. Beijing also supports districts like Dongcheng to leverage their own advantages and actively plan for the development of advantageous Internet 3.0 industries in their areas.

However, the development of the Internet 3.0 industry in Beijing still faces challenges in terms of technological and talent support capabilities, the completeness of the industrial chain, and legal regulations. The white paper suggests that Beijing should strengthen policy support and organizational guarantees, accelerate technological breakthroughs and the establishment of common platforms, promote the construction of "Internet 3.0+" application scenarios, and improve risk regulation work to create a favorable ecological environment for the innovative development of Internet 3.0 in Beijing.
