Atomic Wallet hackers have stolen over 14 million dollars from multiple chains
ChainCatcher news, on-chain analyst ZachXBT tweeted that, according to observations, the largest victim in the Atomic Wallet hacking incident is $2.8 million. Losses across several different chains have reached six figures. The root cause of the incident remains unknown.
ZachXBT warns community members to be cautious of phishing scammers, who have begun posting fake Atomic Wallet refund tweets on Twitter.
Additionally, according to the latest data compiled by ZachXBT, over $14 million in stolen funds have been reported on the Bitcoin, ETH, Tron, BSC, ADA, Ripple, Polkadot, Cosmos, Algo, Avax, XLM, LTC, and Doge chains. It is estimated that at least $20 million has been stolen.
