Circle Singapore has been granted a major payment institution license by the Monetary Authority of Singapore

ChainCatcher news, the issuer of the US dollar stablecoin USDC, Circle, announced that its subsidiary Circle Singapore has obtained the Major Payment Institution (MPI) license approved by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, allowing the institution to provide digital payment token services as well as cross-border and domestic remittance services in Singapore.

It is reported that Circle Singapore officially opened its office in May 2023, and in November 2022, Circle Singapore received the in-principle approval for the Major Payment Institution license from MAS. (Source link)
