ChainCatcher News, the U.S. Department of Justice has announced indictments related to the 2011 hacking of the cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox and the operation of the illegal cryptocurrency exchange BTC-e. According to court documents, 43-year-old Alexey Bilyuchenko and 29-year-old Aleksandr Verner, both Russian nationals, are accused of conspiring to launder approximately 647,000 bitcoins from their hack of Mt. Gox. Bilyuchenko is also charged with conspiring with Alexander Vinnik to operate the illegal cryptocurrency exchange BTC-e from 2011 to 2017. (Source link)
