Binance.US requests the court to dismiss the SEC's request to freeze its funds
ChainCatcher news, according to Bloomberg, Binance.US urged a federal judge to reject the SEC's request to freeze its billions of dollars in assets, arguing that such a move would undermine its business and harm customers.
Binance.US lawyers stated that without the ability to pay salaries to employees, vendors, and professionals, and without the ability to maintain the trading platform, operations would soon come to a halt; in the case of freezing all company assets, banking partners would likely stop fulfilling requests to transfer funds for any purpose, including customer redemptions; the assets of U.S. customers are safe, and there is no need for the severe remedies sought by the SEC.
