Former SEC official Hinman planned to consult Vitalik in 2018 about the operation of the Ethereum Foundation

ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the latest released documents show that in 2018, former SEC director William Hinman planned to have a call with Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin to understand how the Ethereum Foundation operates, to "confirm" his position that ETH is not a security.

Hinman stated in a famous speech in 2018 that the native asset of the Ethereum network does not need to be regulated as a security, a point that Ripple Labs frequently cites in its defense against the SEC in their lawsuit. (source link)
