The community has had a busy week, with two RNP proposals passing the community snapshot vote. RNP-002 (Layer 1 Network Expansion) is the vote to move L1 to Solana, and RNP-003 (Resource Acquisition and Allocation for Core Team and Grants) is the proposal for the network to acquire resources through team and fund emissions.

The community snapshot vote for RNP-002 and RNP-003 started on Monday, April 3, and lasted until 3 PM EST on April 6. A 68% approval means that RNP-002 has now become a "live pending RNP," with a final vote to take place in the coming weeks. In the second community vote, RNP-003 was approved with 56% of the votes and is now also in "live pending RNP" status, with the same voting period.

There has been a lot of great feedback, leading to a stronger project. Many dissenting votes included feedback on the foundation we plan to establish and address. Some voters chose to leave comments when voting. Here are some comments in support of and against RNP-002.

A few months ago, with the launch of the Render Foundation, we were excited about the RNP process and the wave of transparency and community involvement. We are eager to see how RNP-002 and RNP-003 will help decentralize and develop the network in the future.
