This is another industry innovation center laid out by the National Blockchain Technology Innovation Center in key areas of the national economy following the energy sector.
In early May this year, the National Blockchain Technology Innovation Center officially began operations in Beijing, clearly stating its intention to establish blockchain industry innovation centers in a number of key national areas such as energy and trade, and to build regional blockchain innovation centers in key areas of China's rapidly developing and active digital economy. At the 2023 Zhongguancun Forum held at the end of May, the National Blockchain Technology (Energy Sector) Innovation Center was established first.
According to the construction plan, the Blockchain National Innovation Marine Economy Center will develop leading performance blockchain underlying software and hardware core technologies to support solving key difficulties in marine economic development, deploy and construct large-scale marine digital economy infrastructure, and support the creation of a modern marine industry facing the Pacific Rim economic circle, comprehensive protection and development of islands, and high-quality demonstration areas for coordinated land and sea development, becoming an important growth pole for the national marine economy development.
