Arkham CEO responds to "leaked inviter email": From now on, the email addresses of recommenders will be encrypted, and this change has taken effect
ChainCatcher news, community messages show that the invitation link from blockchain intelligence company Arkham leaks the inviter's email, and one can obtain the specific email address of the inviter by simply decoding the base64 of the URL suffix.
In response, Arkham CEO Miguel Morel tweeted, "This system was created at the start of the beta to be able to track user referrals via email to reward users. Apart from communicating with users and tracking referrals, we will not use them for any other purposes. All future referral links will contain an encrypted version of the referrer's email, making it impossible to reverse-engineer. This change is already in effect." (source link)
