Welcome to our monthly roundup! October is exciting as we prepare to publicly release Elemental Chat and share our new Holo roadmap to keep our community updated on what’s coming next.

Earlier this month, we shared the latest leadership and organizational updates with everyone. You may have noticed an increase in stories, blogs, applications, news, and announcements from Holo recently. This is largely because there is more that can be built on Holochain than ever before. The proof of this reality is that a broader project community and developers are beginning to rush into action on their respective projects. Meanwhile, the Holo development team has now been unblocked. Certain features had been on hold until Holochain completed updates to the necessary levels of functionality and stability. This is huge.

To give our community a clearer view of the order of our interdependent work, we updated the Holo roadmap and included some key Holochain releases.

In last week's Dev Pulse, Paul talked about the three latest releases of Holochain. This Dev Pulse not only contains information about the releases but also includes updates on Dev Camp, network fixes, and more information about the Rust-based Holochain testing framework Sweettest. You won't want to miss this update!

Wow, since the development team has switched to weekly releases, there’s a lot to catch up on when I skip a week! The latest Holochain release includes many performance and reliability bug fixes, as well as a new feature (post_commit) and some significant changes. - Paul d'Aoust

If you're curious about the hot news from development updates, you can find it on Holo's Twitter.

Earlier this month, Paul wrote an excellent thought piece about RedGrid, which is building an energy internet on Holochain. Throughout the article, we explored the complexities of climate change and how RedGrid plays a role. Read the full article here.

The ecosystem meetings are a long-term dialogue featuring presentations with Holochain application builders about beliefs, the ins and outs of building distributed solutions, and the latest progress.

Holochain DevCamp #8 continues to gain momentum! Dev Camp participants and community developers are receiving real-time support from the Holochain development team for their Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools. These community-created tools make it easier to build Holochain applications. Dev Campers have been using these RAD tools to build their own applications. Then, non-developers can easily install and use these applications with the new Holochain launcher.

We will continue to post updates on Holochain Twitter.

Earlier this month, we hosted AMA 48, where we provided important details about the HoloPort Alpha program. You can watch the replay here.

We are hiring! Holo is excited to continue our mission by expanding our team. Check out the open positions below:
