Reuters: Celsius Network founder pleads not guilty to fraud charges

ChainCatcher news, according to a report by Reuters, Alex Mashinsky, the founder and former CEO of Celsius Network, pleaded not guilty on Thursday to fraud charges brought by multiple U.S. regulators, which allege that he misled customers and artificially inflated the value of the company's cryptocurrency. An indictment released earlier on Thursday shows that Mashinsky is facing seven counts, including securities fraud, commodities fraud, and telecommunications fraud.

Previous news, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) have all filed lawsuits against Celsius Network and its former CEO Alex Mashinsky in the past hour.
