Messari: In the second quarter, Filecoin's active trading volume increased by 64% quarter-on-quarter, and storage utilization rose to nearly 8%

In it, the active trading volume of Filecoin in the second quarter increased by 64% quarter-over-quarter; due to a 12% decrease in storage capacity, the storage utilization rate grew from about 4% in the first quarter to nearly 8% in the second quarter; driven by a 64% increase in active storage transactions and a 60% increase in the number of large dataset clients, the revenue for the second quarter of 2023 was 2.5 million FIL, an increase of 91%. In dollar terms, the protocol revenue for the second quarter was $11.5 million, a growth of 66.6%. Although the basic fee for FIL increased approximately threefold quarter-over-quarter, penalty fees continued to decline, decreasing by 17% quarter-over-quarter and down 29% compared to the peak of $700,000 in the fourth quarter of 2022.
