The blockchain game Sui 8192 helps Sui's daily transaction count exceed 20 million

ChainCatcher news, according to Cointelegraph, a blockchain game based on Sui called "Sui 8192" has seen a significant surge in daily transactions. An article recently published by the on-chain analytics provider Artemis on social media even stated that this game has helped Sui Network surpass Solana in terms of daily transaction volume.

Data from Artemis shows that Sui Network's daily transaction count recently exceeded 20 million, surpassing Solana's 16 million. However, the company acknowledged that it used different methods to calculate Sui Network's daily transaction volume.

Similar to the popular web puzzle game "2048" from 2014, "Sui 8192" is a sliding block game where players use arrow keys to move and combine blocks until they reach a block valued at 8192. It was first launched in October 2022. According to a blog post published by the Sui Foundation on July 10, each instance of the game mints a new object, similar to minting an NFT, and every move in the game is recorded as a transaction, thus requiring Gas fees.

This game was developed by the Sui wallet provider Ethos Wallet and is claimed to be the first fully on-chain Sui game. The game is also open-source, serving as an example of how applications can develop on the Sui blockchain. (Source link)
