ChainCatcher news, the MakerDAO community has voted to approve the proposal "BlockTower Andromeda Upgrade, Smart Burn Engine Deployment, Parameter Changes with Defined Scope, Representative Compensation, Ecosystem Participant and Core Unit Fund Updates, Spark Protocol Proxy Spell Execution," which can be executed after 3:44 AM Beijing time on July 19, 2023.

Previous report, the MakerDAO Risk Core Unit team released the proposal "Smart Burn Engine and Initial Parameter Introduction" in the community. It is understood that the Smart Burn Engine is a new type of smart contract system designed to allocate excess Dai from the Surplus buffer that Maker does not use as an emergency reserve.
