Binance and Zhao Changpeng filed a motion with the court to dismiss the lawsuit from the U.S. CFTC

ChainCatcher news, Binance and Changpeng Zhao have filed a motion in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, seeking permission to submit a legal memorandum to initiate a motion to dismiss the lawsuit filed by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

ChainCatcher previously reported that in March this year, Binance and Changpeng Zhao were sued by the CFTC in the Chicago federal court for allegedly violating trading and derivatives rules. The CFTC stated that Binance failed to register properly, thereby evading certain obligations, and the deadline for Binance and Changpeng Zhao to respond to the lawsuit is July 27, 2023.
