Binance and the U.S. SEC both oppose the intervention of the third party entity "Eeon" in the lawsuit between the two parties

ChainCatcher news, according to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, both the defendant Binance and the plaintiff U.S. SEC oppose the request for third-party entity "Eeon" to intervene in the lawsuit, as it has failed to meet the legal requirements for intervention.

Binance provided three reasons to dismiss Eeon's request: lack of SEC's consent, failure to establish itself as a true stakeholder, and failure to meet the legal requirements for intervention. Additionally, Eeon's counterclaims are vague and unrelated to the lawsuit.

The SEC argued that Eeon's grounds for the lawsuit have not been supported in federal court. The SEC requested the court to dismiss the petition, as the Securities Exchange Act prohibits private litigants from intervening, participation would not affect the lawsuit, as its claims align with the defendant's arguments, and it does not meet the requirements for intervention.
