Worldcoin: In the week following the beta launch, the number of World ID registrations doubled, and the number of weekly active users increased threefold

ChainCatcher news, Worldcoin stated that within a week of launching the beta version, the registration of World IDs increased by 2 times. The weekly active users of the World App increased by 3 times. The number of accounts created each week increased by 10 times. Additionally, from January to July, the number of World ID registrations rose from 1 million to 2 million, taking less than half the time required for the first million.

It is reported that the Kenyan Ministry of Interior stated last week that Worldcoin activities have been suspended until the associated risks can be assessed. German regulators, as well as regulators in France and the UK, are also investigating how the protocol handles sensitive biometric data.
