Starting from August 9, nd4.eth sent multiple blue-chip NFTs such as CryptoPunk and BAYC, as well as GMX and GNS tokens worth millions of dollars to the black hole address in batches at different times, totaling approximately $8.26 million. nd4.eth seems to be an advocate of nihilism, with the nickname "Nothingless 321" on Opensea, suggesting that he has detached from the desire for material wealth, which may explain his motivation for destruction. Meanwhile, in his Opensea bio, he wrote, "Just be a light to yourself," a quote from Indian philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurti, which includes the phrase, "In this completely dark world, you must be your own light," seemingly indicating that nd4.eth has lost interest and hope in all things.
The significant change in nd4.eth was triggered by the Terra (LUNA) collapse in 2022. nd4.eth was once a high-level contract player, frequently appearing on Binance's contract leaderboard, having accumulated $2 billion before May 2022.
