Visa has completed testing the payment of on-chain gas fees in fiat currency using credit or debit cards

ChainCatcher news, payment giant Visa has announced that it has completed testing for users to pay on-chain gas fees directly with fiat currency using credit or debit cards. According to a statement, the experiment was conducted on the Ethereum Goerli testnet, using a payment master contract to pay gas fees on behalf of users. This means that users can send blockchain transactions without having to worry about maintaining an Ethereum balance. Visa believes that this contract can make it easier for a broader range of users to transact.

Visa stated that merchants or decentralized applications can run their own paymaster solutions, or existing wallet and paymaster service providers can offer card-based gas fee payment options in addition to other paymaster products.
