Binance applies for a court protection order regarding the SEC's "fishing expedition" investigation
ChainCatcher news, Binance stated that due to the U.S. SEC's attempt to investigate its asset custody business without limits, it has been requested to provide a large amount of communication content unrelated to customer assets since November 2022, which is suspected of being a "fishing expedition." After receiving a subpoena and evidence request from the U.S. SEC, it has filed a motion for a protective order with the court, seeking a protective order to limit the scope of the investigation to avoid resource waste and business disruption.
