ChainCatcher news, the DeFi risk manager Gauntlet has once again proposed to the Aave community to freeze the CRV market on the AAVE v2 on the Ethereum network. This is to prevent the v2 market from continuing to accumulate CRV and increasing concentration risk. On-chain voting will open tomorrow and end on August 18.

It is reported that the rationale for this proposal is the same as that of the freezing proposals in November 2022, June, and the proposal related to the Vyper vulnerability released in August, with the main consideration being the risk status of Curve founder Michael Egorov's address starting with "0x7a16".
