ChainCatcher news, Adidas Originals, a subsidiary of Adidas, announced a collaboration with the Japanese Harajuku streetwear brand BAPE to launch a limited edition NFT-based sneaker, the Triple-White Forum 84 BAPE Low.

This sneaker will be auctioned on August 22 through the Adidas Collect platform, supported by the Adidas Web3 studio, Adidas Three Stripes Studio. This marks Adidas's first use of an auction format to support NFT digital sneakers. Additionally, each pair of physical shoes will be equipped with an NFC chip on the inside of the left shoe tongue, allowing the owner to scan with a smartphone to obtain a certificate of authenticity based on NFT, with a limited release of 100 pairs.
