Hashkey COO: It is expected that only 5 to 8 exchanges will successfully obtain the Hong Kong compliance trading license
ChainCatcher news, Hashkey Group's Chief Operating Officer Livio Weng stated in an interview with DeThings that Hashkey will not only launch in Hong Kong, but also that other countries or regions, except for the U.S. and restricted areas, can conduct compliant business.
He also mentioned that he expects 5-8 companies to ultimately succeed in obtaining the compliant trading license in Hong Kong, and that an estimated 80% of those currently applying for the license will withdraw. Currently, Hashkey is collaborating with Chainalysis to ensure the security and compliance of the crypto assets themselves; it may be the first to launch a spot ETF, including providing infrastructure for funds applying for ETFs in Hong Kong.
