India will decide its stance on cryptocurrency in the coming months
ChainCatcher news, a senior official from the Indian Ministry of Finance stated on Sunday that India will analyze and decide its stance on cryptocurrency in the coming months, considering the positions of global leaders on an acceptable framework for cryptocurrency rules, as part of the G20 deliberations.
In addition, the Minister of Economic Affairs added that since "the G20 has established a risk assessment framework," we will analyze "the content that global leaders have agreed upon," and then determine "what constitutes a reasonable policy for India."
It is reported that this is the first indication since early 2022 when India suspended its plans for comprehensive legislation on cryptocurrency through a bill, which may lead to the formulation of relevant legislation.
