Web3 Gaming Summit 2023 Day 1 perfectly concluded: Top 10 games competing in Singapore!

On September 11, 2023, the finals and award ceremony of the Web3 Game Hackathon 2023, co-hosted by ABGA, Klaytn, Iskra, and CESS, was successfully held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore. Since the beginning of the hackathon, over a hundred game projects have been fiercely competing, and today, 10 top game projects were showcased by participants, culminating in the final winners of the competition, who received $80K in prizes along with Google Cloud credits, SlowMist audit discounts, and other generous rewards.

This hackathon aimed to unleash the potential of the gaming industry through blockchain technology, connecting Web2 and Web3, stimulating the potential of blockchain gaming, and promoting the continuous and rapid development of the Gaming ecosystem.

Amidst the fierce competition, industry leaders from various fields delivered insightful speeches and shared their recent strategies regarding Web3 gaming.

Mr. Astin Han, Business Manager of the Klaytn ecosystem, stated that Klaytn is committed to supporting Web3 developers and has recently launched the Ignite on Klaytn (IOK) program, aimed at supporting developers and enhancing Klaytn's one-stop solution for the ecosystem.

Subsequently, Mr. Ben Colayco, CFO of Iskra, discussed how Iskra is contributing to global expansion and local execution in the Web3 gaming market by launching an integrated, end-to-end Web3 gaming community platform.

Ms. Jessie, co-founder and COO of CESS, mentioned during the event that CESS, as the first large-scale commercial storage blockchain solution built for Web3, is currently empowering Web3 games to achieve "digital immortality," supporting the digital lifespan of Web3 games.

Mr. Eefy Lin, Customer Solutions Architect at Google Cloud APAC, revealed that Google Cloud is building a blockchain node engine for the automation of blockchain infrastructure deployment, while also developing BigQuery public datasets for multi-chain meta-analysis and real-time unified data ingestion architecture.

Blue, CTO of SlowMist, highlighted some of the company's services in his speech, including blockchain security audit services, consulting and monitoring services, as well as blockchain AML/CFT compliance solutions.

Pawn, CTO of NuLink, shared information about NuLink and disclosed that NuLink is closely collaborating with multiple GameFi partners to provide secure privacy protection solutions, empowering Web3 games.

Mr. Paul Solntsev, head of Cointelegraph Accelerator, discussed the theme of accelerating GameFi adoption. He pointed out that despite issues such as poor game quality, limited player awareness outside of Web3, and a lack of sustainable business models, GameFi is still gaining attention and provided advice for Web3 startups from multiple dimensions. Finally, Paul Solntsev stated that Cointelegraph Accelerator is offering media products, marketing advice, and mentorship support for Web3 startups.

Mirror Planet is an immersive, location-based Web3 Metaverse game that fundamentally changes the way we interact with digital spaces. The game utilizes blockchain technology and combines it with real-world geographical locations, providing a mixed experience of reality and virtuality, allowing players to explore, interact, and trade in a decentralized environment.

SuiGame is a revolutionary game ecosystem driven by blockchain, aiming to become the STEAM of Web3.

With the conclusion of the award ceremony, the 2-month-long hackathon of 2023 has perfectly wrapped up.
