Optimism is launching the agenda to establish a "Safety Council."
ChainCatcher message, Optimism tweeted that it is initiating the agenda to establish a security council, aimed at preventing unilateral control over system upgrades, Rollup state modifications, or transaction reviews.
Optimism stated that it will release a governance proposal to add the security council as a multi-signature signer for controlling Op Mainnet protocol upgrades, and will propose further governance proposals in the future to specifically transfer the multi-signature authority to the security council. The complete security council will consist of at least 8 members, and any relevant proposal must be approved by at least 75% of the members' signatures.
