ChainCatcher news, the RWA lending protocol Goldfinch's founder posted on the governance forum that Goldfinch provided a $20 million loan to the U.S. credit fund Stratos in February 2022. As part of the loan, both Warbler Labs and Stratos management participated as first-loss guarantors, but Warbler Labs has discovered performance issues with the underlying loans in the Stratos pool. Stratos's investments in REZI and POKT are facing potential asset value declines that may not be recoverable, with expected maximum losses of $7 million. Warbler Labs will bear all losses related to these investments for the Senior Pool and funders.

It is worth noting that Stratos fund had a previous 5-year investment record of $250 million with no overdue payments and an annualized return of 18%. The founder of Stratos is an early advisor to Goldfinch, and Stratos is an equity investor in Warbler Labs.
