Gemini appoints former Paytm executive Sachin as Vice President and Head of India

According to Blockworks, the cryptocurrency exchange platform Gemini has appointed Sachin Ranglani as Vice President and Head of India. Previously, Sachin served as Senior Vice President of Product Management at the Indian third-party payment platform Paytm, and has held positions at Uber, Amazon, and Infosys.

Previous report states that on September 26, Gemini announced plans to invest 2 billion Indian Rupees (24 million USD) over the next two years to develop its development center in Gurugram, deepening its investment in India.

Pravjit Tiwana, CEO of Gemini Asia Pacific, stated that its spot and derivatives cryptocurrency trading products are ready to serve retail and institutional clients in India.

It is reported that Gemini's entry into the Indian market aligns with its expansion strategy in Singapore, aiming to increase its workforce to over 100 by next year.
