Bitstamp will stop providing services to Canadian customers early next year
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp will cease operations in Canada early next year. Bitstamp's CEO for the U.S. and Global Chief Business Officer Bobby Zagotta stated, "After initially notifying customers in March, Bitstamp will officially stop providing services to Canadian customers starting January 8, 2024. All Canadian accounts will be closed, and customers will no longer have access to their accounts." Zagotta urged customers to withdraw their funds before January. Zagotta added that he hopes to be able to serve Canadian customers again at some point in the future.
