Immutable extends the unlocking period of 125 million IMX to July next year

ChainCatcher news, Immutable co-founder Robbie Ferguson announced that 125 million IMX tokens allocated for the development of the Immutable project will be re-locked for another year, which were originally scheduled to be unlocked in the coming weeks. This re-locking of the allocation will last at least until July 2024.

Ferguson also stated that the final unlocking mechanism will be updated to make it smoother. "At least, when we finally decide to unlock these tokens, they will be released according to a monthly linear vesting schedule over time, rather than a cliff unlock."
