ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, the U.S. Department of Justice stated in a filing submitted on Tuesday that after the prosecution completes its case presentation this week, Sam Bankman-Fried's defense team may call six potential witnesses. The Department of Justice's filing did not disclose the names of any potential defense witnesses, and it is currently unclear whether SBF will testify. The Department also indicated that it only intends to call one witness when the trial resumes on Thursday.

A filing submitted on Monday stated that the defense intends to call PF2 Securities employee Joseph Pimbley as an expert witness on the flow of funds. Additionally, the document indicated that if the defense takes a break on Thursday or Friday morning, the government requests the court to hold a status conference on Friday afternoon so that both parties can make closing arguments on Monday morning.
