Circle will no longer support the minting of stablecoins for consumer accounts
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, stablecoin issuer Circle will no longer support minting stablecoins for consumer accounts. Consumer accounts with a zero balance will have their services terminated, and these accounts will be closed on November 30.
A spokesperson for Circle stated, "Circle is gradually phasing out support for traditional consumer accounts and has informed individual consumers of this decision." The account closure does not apply to Circle Mint accounts for businesses or institutions.
