Aave Guardian has reopened the Aave v3 market, and Aave v2 on Ethereum will be launched on November 13
ChainCatcher message, the Aave community governance forum shows that Aave Guardian has lifted the suspension status of the Aave v3 markets on Arbitrum, Avalanche, and Polygon. Based on operational considerations (grace period recommendations coordinated with the Guardian), Aave v2 on Ethereum is expected to be released on November 13.
Previously, on November 5, Aave tweeted that they received a report indicating an issue with a feature of the Aave protocol. After verification by community developers, Aave Guardian has taken temporary precautionary measures, ensuring that user funds are not at risk. The measures taken by Aave Guardian include: suspending the Aave V2 market on Ethereum, suspending certain assets of Aave V2 on Avalanche, and freezing certain assets of Aave V3 on Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism. Aave reminds that users who have borrowed against frozen assets can still withdraw and repay their positions, but cannot provide or borrow more positions until the issue is resolved. No actions can be taken on suspended assets until the suspension is lifted.
