Vega Protocol launches decentralized perpetual contracts
ChainCatcher news, according to The Block, the transaction-centric blockchain Vega Protocol has launched decentralized perpetual contracts. This product is a supplement to the existing offerings since the March launch of the Vega mainnet, and they will be permissionless, meaning community members will propose and vote on the specific assets for creating perpetual futures.
Additionally, the project's community-led governance will have the option to approve any ERC-20 token for settlement through its governance mechanism, which differs from the norm of limiting settlements to USDC or equivalent stablecoins.
