Binance agrees to pay a $1.81 billion criminal fine and will have $2.51 billion in assets seized

ChainCatcher news, according to Reuters, the prosecutor in charge of the case stated that Binance has agreed to pay a criminal fine of approximately $1.81 billion to the U.S. and will make the payment within 15 months after sentencing.

In addition, Binance has agreed to forfeit $2.51 billion in assets. Changpeng Zhao has agreed to pay a $50 million fine to the CFTC.
