The Cosmos Ecosystem Fund invested $100,000 in Celestia in 2021, which is now worth $70 million

2023-11-29 12:25:42

ChainCatcher news, John Galt, the strategic director of Stride in the Cosmos ecosystem, tweeted that the Interchain Foundation (ICF) of the Cosmos ecosystem invested $100,000 in Celestia in 2021, holding 1.6% of the shares, which is currently valued at $70 million, and has a total value of approximately $350 million in BTC, ETH, USD, and ATOM.

In the coming years, ICF will particularly benefit Osmosis and Celestia. Because:

  • Osmosis is the largest user of Cosmos technology;
  • Celestia is financially consistent with ICF.

John stated that although ICF claims not to align with any Cosmos chains, with the rise in TIA prices, the $70 million in TIA within ICF's assets may exceed the total value of the remaining assets.
